If you caught my blog post about Content Marketing World 2017 — or, even better, were able to actually join me earlier this month for that event — then you know I’m currently in the midst of conference season.
Every year around this time, influencers and industry leaders gather at various marketing conferences and leadership events to learn from the best, rub elbows, network, and gather new insights they can share with their teams. On Sept. 26 and 27, I’ll be doing just that at Brand ManageCamp 2017.
My session this year is called “Top of Mind: How To Engage Your Audience So They Think Of Your Brand In The Right Moment — Even In A Noisy Environment,” and it’s inspired by my book, “Top of Mind.”
When Influence & Co. started years ago, content was still a pretty difficult term to grasp. Almost no one really knew what content marketing was — and we now live in a world where content is literally everywhere. That can be both good and bad. Sure, more people and brands understand the value of content, and that’s great. But when too many people create low-quality or self-promotional content, all it does is add to the noise and make it harder for you to earn trust.
